Dear Friends:
For nearly 30 years, Casa Esperanza has been the safe haven for homeless Latinos, who have been devastated by addiction. With your support, we have worked with our clients and Boston University’s Center for Addictions Research and Services to better understand the root causes of this disease, identify gaps in care, and develop innovative approaches to better meet our clients’ needs.
Our work together has created a holistic, integrated approach that puts not only the client’s needs–but also their strengths, abilities, and choices–at the center of their care. Providing a continuum of care that addresses a range of behavioral and medical health needs often makes the difference between recovery or relapse, freedom or incarceration, being housed or living on the streets–and your support helps make that possible.
Casa’s integrated approach helped clients engage in evidence-based care and supported our graduating classes by:
- increasing access to integrated bilingual mental health and addictions services;
- offering co-located medical services;
- increasing crisis intervention to prevent relapse and homelessness;
- reengaging clients more quickly after a relapse;
- transitioning more individuals and families to permanent stable housing than ever before;
- providing new pathways for people in recovery to become contributing members of the community.
We hope that you will join us in supporting our clients, and the many others that will follow in their footsteps, in getting the care they need to become whole and healthy members of our community–and in celebrating their renewed sense of safety, strength, and confidence in the face of challenges and uncertainty. Know that your support ensures that the values of compassion, community, and client empowerment always guide us in serving those most in need.

We hope you will consider a donation, in whatever amount you can, so that Casa can continue to assist those that seek our help, in the year ahead and for years to come. If you cannot support Casa with a financial contribution, there are several ways to be involved through our Volunteer and Corporate Citizen Programs.
With gratitude and best wishes,
