Track Record on the Cutting Edge of Substance Abuse Recovery
- Founded with the goal of treating individuals facing barriers to accessing care and a firm belief in the ability of each individual to transform their life, Casa Esperanza continues reaching out to those most in need, such as: cultural and linguistic minorities, persons with disabilities, homeless individuals, pregnant and postpartum women and women with children, criminal court involved and individuals recently released from prison, and injection drug abusers who are at risk for contracting HIV/AIDS.
- Since 1987, Casa Esperanza has provided substance abuse treatment and recovery services to more than 1,800 men and 638 women; and their families and we look forward to continuing to expand our programs and services to meet the unique, long term needs of individuals and families in recovery.
- At intake, 17.6% of all participants had a permanent place to live in the community, while at 6 month follow up, 27.5% had a permanent home.
- 6 months after intake at Casa Esperanza, 82.2% of all participants reported that they did not use alcohol or illegal drugs, a 57.1% increase.
- In recognition of its success, Casa Esperanza was selected by the federal government's Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration as one of the 13 "Best Practice Facilities" in the nation.
