
2011 Program Graduation & Community Picnic
Casa Esperanza celebrated more than 40 graduates, individuals who have successfully completed treatment in the Men’s Program, Latinas y Niños Center, and Relapse Prevention & Outpatient Services. Graduates were honored at a ceremony, followed by a community picnic and health fair, on August 6, 2011.
27 Years of Hope in Action: Honoring the Legacy of Rick Quiroga
As he prepared to retire after 27 years of service to Casa Esperanza and the Greater Boston community, Casa Esperanza honored its Founder and Executive Director Ricardo Quiroga, for his groundbreaking work in the field of substance abuse treatment and his remarkable achievements in improving access to services for the Latino community with a gala celebration on May 25, 2011 in the Great Hall of the Massachusetts State House.
Hope in Action 2010
Hope in Action 2010 took place on May 19, 2010, honored Casa's training and evaluation partners at Boston University Center for Addictions Research and Services for their invaluable contributions to the field of addictions treatment through research, evaluation, program development, and training. We also honored colleague, Elizabeth Sanchez, Associate Director of Community Health Promotion & Prevention for the Hispanic Office of Planning and Evaluation, for her commitment as a professional in the treatment field.
Hope in Action 2008
Hope in Action 2008 took place on October 23, 2008 and honored Casa Esperanza graduate and Director of Supportive Housing Eric Lozada, for his dedication and professionalism in serving others struggling with addiction; and long-time Casa Esperanza supporter Charlotte Golar Richie, Senior Advisor, Governor’s Executive Staff for her invaluable contributions as a leading advocate for the development of supportive, affordable housing for homeless individuals and families in recovery.
