Casa Esperanza's 2011 Program Graduation & Neighborhood Picnic brought local agencies, community members, clients who have completed treatment, and their families together to celebrate the power of recovery.
Every year, Casa recognizes its graduates, those who have completed residential substance abuse treatment in the Men’s Program, the Latinas y Niños Center, and the Relapse Prevention & Outpatient Services program. It is the determination, courage and willingness of our graduates to start their lives anew that gives us the energy to continue our work.
Thank you for continuing to give hope to the many families who seek to live a life of recovery!
Following graduation, our annual Community picnic took place, including great food, music, fun activities for children, and an opportunity for neighborhood residents and community leaders to talk about the impact of substance abuse and recovery on the neighborhood.
Resource tables for social service agencies and other agencies were available to share information about services, including voter registration, substance abuse treatment, mental health services, insurance, and medical care resources available in the community.
Special thanks to Latino Health Institute, Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan, Roxbury Comprehensive Health Center, South End Community Health Center, and Casa Myrna Vasquez for providing materials & staff this year!
Thank you for your support of Casa and the work of our clients! |
